Nick
A Golden at Heart heart.gif (178 bytes)

The best part of this story is that Nick is not a Golden Retriever. He was rescued by a Member of Norcal GR Rescue and I was subsequently called. I was registered with the group, hoping at the time to get a Golden. I was informed that Nick is a young Flat coated Retriever mix. At first we were hesitant but decided to go for it.

The Shellhorn's (Rescuers) actually were so kind & flew Nick to us from Half Moon Bay to Columbia.  It was love at first sight for all, especially between Nick & our Golden, beautiful, three time photo contest winner, Brandee.

Nick had obviously been very badly mistreated and abused. PoorGuy was frightened of everything and non-trusting. We had our work cut out for us. We now have Nick for 4 months and no one would believe with all the love & care this youngster has received, how well he has adjusted so beautifully. His favorite place is in our laps or cuddling every night with us in bed.

Most of all not only is he our best friend along with Brandee, but Brandee is as well.

Thank you...

Mountain Gal Sherry
