We got Mattie from the Solano Chapter about 6 months ago. We have 3 kids and 6 cats and really didn't know how a dog would fit in. But the more I talked to the Rescue folks and read your Web Page the better an older dog sounded (no puppy problems). Well we got Mattie and it was love at first sight! She's 11 years old and a big bear of a dog. All of our friends that come over can't believe Mattie hasn't been with our family her whole life,she just fits right in with the whole tribe. The Cats were a bit put off at first, but she won them over with her gentle bearing. In fact, one of our male cats, "Gus" ,even takes naps with her on her blanket and follows her around the house now (they're buddies). Mattie greets anyone that comes in the house with one of her favorite toys in her mouth and and wagging tail. She sure has enriched all our lives and we just thrilled to have her. Thanks to all the great folks at Norcal that helped save Mattie and help bring her to our family.
