by Mark We will never forget March 17th, 1999, for that was the BIG day! Good ol' Maggie came to live with us, (formerly known as Sophie) and things have not quite been the same. What a JOY she has been!!!!!!!!!!!! I must admit, I was frustrated the first couple weeks, I mean I knew she was a chow hound, but what is so tasty about toilet paper? Needless to say, she is the sweetest thing, and has adjusted well in her short time here, and actually loves obedience training, thank goodness! Must be all the goodies she gets! Nothing like lots of tidbits and positive re-enforcement! Beings we've always adopted puppies from pounds, I was nervous about adopting a dog with a history, but having a child and not wanting to go through the puppy stage in a condo, and knowing Goldens were known for their pleasant dispositions, voila! a decision was made, I fell in love, sight unseen, what can I say? So if anyone out there is just browsing doing reseaaarch before adopting a dog, let me say you can't go wrong with Norcal, and there are a lot of good reasons to adopt and older dog, we are glad we did. Thank you NORCAL (hi Jody andMike) for the work you do, it is nice to know that a year or two from now, when all the Goldens born this spring find themselves no longer wanted, they will have the Angels of Norcal there with their wings................and another family will be blessed with a Maggie like ours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
