Luke   . . . alias: Eyesore
by  Kathy Allen

Kathy, Luke and his ever present tennis ball!I adopted Luke in September through my vet and her assistant Dawn, who fosters Goldens.

Luke is six years old and a dream dog. I have seven grandsons and he doesn't know which one to play ball with next! Luke's alias, Eyeore, comes from the Winnie the Pooh character: the soulful way he looks at the kids when they are running around the yard with him and his bray when he has the ball in his mouth and wants them all to play with him at once.

What a smiling boy. He has a lot to smile about!Luke's skin is wonderful and his hair has all grown back. His ear problem seems to be licked thanks to the expert attention by his doctor and a regular diet of good food.

I thought Goldens only rode in the back of Grand Cherokees, but Luke looks just swell in my Saturn!

He is resting by my side as I write this letter of praise for the rescue group and this wonderful breed of dog called Golden Retrievers.

Thank you!

Please look at the Update on Luke story to see how well he is doing after a year with us!
