Libby and her foster momWhen I made an offer to buy my first home, I couldn't wait to adopt a dog. After much consideration, I decided on a Golden Retriever. I made some calls and found about about NorCal GRR. I contacted an agent in my new area, and she told me she thought she had a perfect match for me. A couple of weeks later, I went to the foster home to meet Libby, my future best friend. We bonded immediately, and I fell instantly in love with her. Two days after I moved into my new home, I went to pick up Libby and bring her home.

I can't tell you how much Libby has meant to me in the eight short months that she has been in my life. The first few months in my new home were a big adjustment for me. I'm new to town, and in moving here, left my friends and boyfriend behind. There were lots of days and nights alone, but Libby is wonderful company, and she is without question one of the sweetest, gentlest and most loyal dogs I have ever seen. She asks for so little, and yet she, through her sweetness, innocence and gentleness, gives so very much in return. She also makes me laugh; she snores louder than my ex-husband, and that's really saying something. And though she's 10 times the size of my cat, Hershey, she has decided that Hershey is in charge, and avoids making eye contact with her.

Not a day goes by that I don't say a prayer of thanks for the love that Libby has brought into my life. Thank you NorCal GRR, for the wonderful work that you do, and for making it possible for Libby to come into my life.
