Kinky the Wonder Bitch

One day, David announced "we need a dog". Marilee, an experienced dog owner, was in full agreement with the idea but warned David that he had never had a dog before - did he realize what he was in his future? Little did he know that "Kinky - The Wonder Bitch" was soon to join their family.

After a call to NorCal Golden Retriever Rescue, David and Marilee soon met Rescue Agent Dorothy Carter and an 18 month old female Golden who had never been separated from her sister.

Although new to leashes, Kinky was quite the lady on her "interview" walk with David and Marilee. She didn't pull to meet other dogs or people and Marilee noted that she kept checking on those two new people holding her leash. Her polite manners and people orientation convinced David and Marilee that Kinky was a winner. Homeward Bound she was!

Kinky now leads the life that Goldens only dream about. Every day she gets up and goes to work with David at his houseboat/office off Sausalito. Her appearance at the office has been good for business. At least one client calls to see if Kinky is in residence before coming for a visit.

Kinky was Miss September in the 1996 Norcal Golden Retriever Rescue calendar. She's quite photogenic as I'm sure you'll agree!
