We are just crazy about our Golden boy, Bartlet (born “Matrix”). He makes us laugh every day with his wiggled greetings, his not-so-tough woofs to passersby, the bizarre positions he twists himself into in his sleep, his self-important jogging technique, his tireless bird-chasing, his poor directional skills while swimming, his fear of the vacuum cleaner, his interest in television, his absolute certainty that every dog and person he meets is dying to play with him, his weakness for peanut butter, his love for his squeaky trout toy, his confusion about whose feet to lie next to when we’re in separate rooms, his wet nose and furious tail.
As hard as it must have been for his previous owner to give him up, we are so grateful that she did—and thankful too for the job she did in raising such a sweet and gentle dog. NORCAL found our perfect match!
