What's the Wag 'n Walk?
This is one of NGRR's two major annual fund raisers -- a fun 2+ mile walk
with our best friends in a beautiful park! Open to all breeds of dogs, and their humans, as well. This year, in addition to the walk (which can include swimming!) there will
be Canine Good Citizen testing, the popular "Parade of Rescues"
and demonstrations of flyball, dog dancing, and assistance dogs at work. Baskets
of doggie goodies will be raffled off, and there will be great prizes for
those bringing in the most pledges. All dogs registered for the walk will
receive goodie bags, and their humans will receive beautiful T shirts! NGRR
logo merchandise will be on sale, and, of course, many deserving golden retrievers
available for adoption will be in attendance -- looking great and hoping for
that second (or third) chance for a loving new home. By May, sign-up flyers
advertising the event should be available on NGRR's website, www.golden-rescue.org.
Registration is $20 per person in advance, $25 day of walk.
Park Fees are $6 per vehicle, $2 per dog.
